I came to Josh looking to lose weight and tone up. Results started showing quickly, all my clothes started fitting better. Months later and I'm bench pressing 225, squatting 300, and never felt better. Best trainer I've found in the valley, highly recommend.

Josh is a skilled trainer and great person. I came to him after a rough streak of injuries and surgeries and can't believe the progress I've made. He works with my needs, particularly my stubborn lower back and it feels great. So much better! I'm grateful to be back outdoors doing what I love.

Josh is attentive, knowledgeable, consistent, and creative in the workouts he puts together. I've been working with him for many months now and have seen a definite improvement in my strength. I also appreciate that he mixes up the workouts regularly, so it's less likely to get boring :)Unlike other trainers I've worked with, Josh always keeps the focus on the client. He's a true pro and you'd be lucky to train with him!

Simply the best!I am now 63 and over the last 2.5 years working with Josh 3, half hour sessions per week and my old arthritic body is fighting back!He is very informative on proper nutrition and healing thebody through exercise that is designed to what you need without injury. I went to Josh originally to get my knees stronger and to just in general learn some new exercises to get in better shape. Josh really knows his stuff! He is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, and I love that he is very specific on how to keep your whole body in the right position while lifting weights. That is so important, because I know you can get hurt if you do it wrong, especially for somebody older like me (62). I also enjoy the way Josh trains because he mixes things up and keeps things moving, so I am never bored at all. I have definitely gotten in better shape training with Josh. Highly recommend!

My experience with Josh has been wonderful. I wanted to get stronger and lose some weight. Josh set me up to accomplish both. His workouts and meal plans are top notch. He makes adjustments when needed to give you the best workout each time.

Josh is awesome! His program worked for me! Five years after giving birth, with two of the years living in the shadow of COVID by mostly staying indoors. I gained weight which possibly also affected my health as I was having frequent skin infections. I had two months to get fit before relocating to Europe. I called up Josh, and I, not for one second, regret my decision. In two months, I lost about 8 pounds; not a huge number, but I feel much stronger and healthier. I can actually wear my clothes from 10 years ago--that translates to confidence. I told Josh, "It was money well spent!" I meant it. By going through Josh's program, I was hoping the training would also help me establish a habit of exercising regularly and build up the needed endurance to prevent me from giving up. I am happy to say, Josh and his program helped me achieve all that. If you are not a super motivated person on your own when it comes to work out and want to have a program that is professionally tailored for you that delivers results, I believe Josh won't disappoint you.

I started working with Josh 5 months ago and it was the best decision! He has dropped me almost 20 pounds and I’m already stronger at 30 years old versus playing NCAA division II basketball at 20 years old. I couldn’t do a single pull up on my own 10 years ago and now I’m able to do up to 4 on my own. If you are looking to clean up your diet, get in better shape, and lose some unwanted pounds this is the right person to work with! I highly recommend working with Josh!

Josh does an excellent job on all fronts. He tailors everything to your needs and is willing to work with you on meal plans, schedules, workout types, etc. So many trainers just have you do their plan and won’t modify it for you. I had a recent shoulder injury and was having huge diet problems, Josh offered me several meal plan types and structures and worked out all the numbers. Additionally he knew how to work with my shoulder injury which prevented me from going heavy on weight. He taught me about time under tension and doing reps slow and controlled with lower weight and it definitely builds a much stronger foundation to save your joints and prevent injury. The best part is that he did all of this remotely via zoom and he used the numbers application to track body weight, reps, weight used on certain exercises, rest periods, everything. Just set your laptop or phone up and he will help correct your form, give you motivation, and talk through everything. He also will work with your level of equipment, whether you can just do body weight, or have a couple dumbbells laying around.

I’ve worked with other trainers in the past and Josh definitely stands out. He is obviously educated and passionate about the work he does. He works with the individual to create a plan catered to them. He demonstrates every exercise he makes you do and explains why he has you do it. I lost 25 pounds with Josh before he moved out to Grand Junction and I wish he could’ve stuck around! Josh is a great friend and we always keep in touch. Can’t recommend him enough

Josh, was one of my biggest supporters in my fitness journey. He pushed me harder than anyone ever did, he saw my full potential and made sure I reached it every time, and educated me along the way to make better choices. He taught me a lot, he taught me how my body and mind were stronger than I thought. He always encouraged me to do better to go the extra mile because he knew I could, even when I wanted to give up. I wanted to quit many times because I thought I couldn’t do it but Josh, always made sure to help push me through it. One thing I’ll always remember from our training sessions is what he would always say “it’s all mental” and that’s what would get me through the sessions and encourage me to push myself harder. Not only did I find a great trainer but someone I can call a friend. So, if you want to reach your goals and get fit, Josh is your guy!

I wanted to give you and update on my surgery and thank you for making recovery easier.The ability to squat has made a huge difference in my recovery. My strong legs (thanks to you) are doing all the work for my core!The surgery was complicated but the main part was that I had my abdomen repaired. The muscle had completely separated after the birth of a 10 pound baby boy 29 years ago. The muscle has been useless and contributing to my ongoing back pain. Without this muscle I had little core strength.I look forward to continuing working with you as soon as I am past the surgery recovery period. I loved getting stronger and I have lost about 10 pounds.And, I am amazed at how strong Dave has gotten. His body reminds me of the 23 year old guy I met a long time ago. Thank you so much for doing what you do.Looking forward to seeing you on your ski trip.Pat

I am 73 years old and Josh has pushed me further than I ever imagined I could go. My shoulder hurt and I couldn’t swim, but now I’m back to swimming and other activities I haven’t done in years. I never wanted to lift weights but Josh has showed me how to strengthen my core by doing exactly that. I’m moving much better and feel more comfortable walking and exercising in general. If you’re looking for a caring and patient personal trainer who delivers results then Josh is the way to go

I have been working out with Josh for 2 months now and it has changed my life. Started at 216 now down to201 and beginning the building muscle phase. Josh is a very knowledgeable trainer. I played sports throughout high school and college, so I thought I knew a lot about building muscle proportionately, proper technique, recovery, diet, and fitness overall. However, Josh showed me how much I do not know. After day one I did exercises I had never heard of and was sore in places I had never been before. Josh also helped me improve my technique in lifts I already knew. Then he gave me exercises to do on my own to help decrease pain in my lower back due to previous injuries. Plus, Josh gave me a diet plan (for free) that I follow as closely as possible. I need more cheat meals haha. Furthermore, Josh is a cool guy and avid sports fan. I could talk basketball with him all day. Two thumbs up from me👍👍

Josh is an amazing trainer! The workout regimen he created for me was tailored towards my fitness goals, while still being considerate of my physical health issues (like sports asthma, joint pain, etc). He was incredibly supportive throughout the entire time I worked with him and gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed at the gym. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

I have only been to a few trainers in the past and have always had a eh feeling when finishing the workout. Not the case with Josh! First of all he is by far the most dynamic trainer I have ever met. Despite Josh’s youthfulness he knows what he is doing and proves it with his sessions. I had know idea I could get such a great workout with minimal equipment and in such a short period of time. Josh really works to improve your body where it lacks the most and is very aware to push you where you need it. If someone is looking for a better workout that isn’t boring and is tailored to your needs Josh is your guy!

Josh was a great guy to work with. Taught me a lot about how to properly work out and have the correct form. I was a beginner, so i knew nothing about working out. Josh taught me the basics of what I needed to know. Also taught me a lot about how to have an effective meal plan, considering that diet is important in achieving your goals. Thanks to his help i’ve added lean muscle and look as good as I feel. Josh is also a pretty friendly guy to get along with. would rate 10/10!

I was working with Josh while I was also working with a prior knee injury. Josh worked with me on a lot of different exercises to strengthen my legs and core to help counter the pain I was feeling. He did a great job but I ended up having my right ACL replaced for the second time. After doing physical therapy, Josh helped me strengthen my legs through adaptive exercises so I could not only return to normal but even stronger in both legs. Without Josh, I would not be running today. Josh helped me attain all of my fitness goals while pushing me to accomplish even more. He is very willing to adapt and try different things while using the knowledge he gained from a world class trainer in Lawrence, KS. Josh is an excellent fitness partner and an even better friend. He will work with you to attain all of your goals while pushing you to reach even farther.

Josh offers flexibility in scheduling, on time every time start and end, and a fully functional training program good for every body. Josh is a fitness trainer who can work in any given environment. After each session with Josh I feel challenged and supported through the entire workout. I’ve gotten leaner, increased muscle mass and felt more stability with sports activities or yoga. Highly recommend for anyone serious about the body’s function and their individual fitness!

Josh is amazing! He has an extensive knowledge of the muscle groups and how to isolate certain muscles during workouts. I am hard to motivate and he was able to pinpoint strategies to motivate me into pushing myself in a way I was not expecting. His training sessions coupled with the food plan he has me on is showing results fairly quickly. I especially appreciate that he was able to adjust the food plans to work with my allergies, he even went as far as checking out local health food stores to find exactly what I need! He is careful to mix up the different workouts so that I don't get bored, and I am always learning new exercises! I cannot recommend Josh enough, he's really nice and easy to get along with, I'm always looking forward to training. If you are looking for a well rounded trainer with practical knowledge he is certainly the way to go.
